Yes Ram, sure...but for which you should be euipped. Not only with co. law, but with all the skills & knowledge which a Corporate Advisor should have.

Mind you CS is not a Co. Law Secretary, but, he is a company Secretary.

Best Wishes

i feel pitti on our institute (icsi) , when will our institute become students friendly , is there any scope ? our institute has created a useless website for us , our institute presidents and other fellows didnt do anything till now for the benefit of students ,if u take the current budget u can c that our govt has extended some other areas to CA'S such as cenvat audit ... how it has happened , scope for other professions are decreasing day by day , we should have to come forward better than CA & CWA'S for that we should have to stand together , iam very much interested in my profession thtsy iam telling like this

Dear Mr. Krishnamani,

Yes, I agree our institute has not been as active as ICAI but you should also understand it is also the responsibility of the existing members of the institute to take our profession to the next level. We should set ourselves high standards. If you take CA's there of lot of people who are known for their individual ability/skills for instance Mr. Manoharan (past president), even CS fraternity knows him. It is not possible for a national body to come to each and every corner of the country to see how the profession is developing in those parts. But the people who are office bearers of regional chapters are still following the old style of functioning not ready to change. Tell me how then the Profession will develop?

I think you should be bit more optimistic, I feel there are lot of areas which are opening up for CS's for instance the recently introduced due diligence audit for banks. In that audit even if it is possible for CAs to do audit in the circular of RBI it is mentioned that preferebly by CS. I think it is a great privilege.

So explore the oppurtunities available and I request all the members to contribute towards development of our profession.

I also congratulate all the people who worked for the setting up of this wonderful club. I think knowledge sharing initiatives like this will contribute a long way in taking our profession to a diffrent level.

Regards,
CS. Raja Karthik S.
