I was about to give executive exam this december but due to an emergency operation, I am physically not fit to give it, so will give it in June, 2014.

However, I am confused as to whether it is better to change for new syllabus or the old syllabus is ok.

Which is more easy to score in terms of marks and get passed? Please help asap!

Dear Meghakash44,

(1) The Last Examination under Executive Programme (Old Syllabus 2007) will be held in December, 2014 Session.

(2) Hence, you have got 2 chances (Jun 14 & Dec 14) in old syllabus 2007.

(3) There are 6 papers in old syllabus and 7 papers in new syllabus.

(4) If you are not confident of passing in the aforesaid two chances in old syllabus, please get converted to NEW SYLLABUS and appear in new syllabus.

(4) In both cases, please always refer to the latest ICSI's study modules and get updated by referering to the CS Student Journal and Chartered Secretary Journal.

You can contact me through my email id for any further discussion related to your study.

Please act on your own wisdom as it is my personal opinion.

Wish you all the best.

Dear Meghakash44,

Try to complete the level in one or two chance. U have only two chance. First set your mind with the intention of clearing the exam in first attempt. If this is not possible in two attempt them move to new course right now. Also remember that in new course there are 7 papers and in old 6. Final decision is yours.

Best of Luck.
