Can a CS trainee, do a part of his/her training say 6 months out of 15 months in a practising Chartered Accountant firm?

No. This case shall be considered as transfer from one trainer to another but Training under CA will not be considered for ICSI training. If the trainee works as full-time employee in any CA or say Law firm then his/her job will be considered for the exemption from 15 months training. but for that he/she will have to work for at least 3yrs with the CA or Law firm.

is the provision written in CA act or CS act that a cs student can work for 3 yrs to get exemption in 15 months of cs training

shradha dubey

I dont think it is written anywhere in provisions that u have 3 yrs working experience in ca firm u will get exemption from 15 months training. If u have 3 yrs working experience under pcs then u will get exemption of 12 months as per my knowledge.

As per discussion i want to confirm that i have been working in C.A firm as an employee for 3 years consistently then i shall be allowed for exemption from 15 or 12 month training but confusion is that i am working as accountant in C.A firm i'll be allowed from exemption or not. is there criteria of working? please confirm this.

Generally 12 months exemption is allowed on case to case basis. 15 months exemption is allowed on exceptional cases.

For details, please refer Rules 50 to 54 of the following link.
