Introduction

Writing article has always been the prime hobby of any tax and accounts professional. Other than

your respective field. More the brand, more you get recognition
boosting yourself and your company. It’s not granted that a good writer
can be an expert in taxation and accountancy but it will be an added
quality for those who can develop writing skills and can publish the
same. If you don’t have an idea how to start with, this article will
help you in getting started.

List your interest and expertise

It
is advisable to pen down your interest and your area of expertise. You
may take help of your friends to know your strong points and interests.
If your list is long enough rank it according to your knowledge and
available resources. Available resources will be helpful in gathering
information and facts. Take your time to complete your interest list.
Observe yourself what attracts you in your daily professional activity.
What are the areas you stepped and helped others to take them out and
they appraised your efforts. Your area of interest may cover a vast area and now you need to think the probable topics that you may feel comfort in writing.

Titles from your Interest List

From
the list of your interest and subtopics think a number of titles on
which you are able to write. You can start with two three topics at the
beginning simultaneously. Later carry forward the title for which it is
easy to gather information and facts. While deciding the topics and
titles you must keep in mind that it should attract audience and will be
useful for readers. Articles on current happenings always attract readers.

Readers Target

After
selecting the topic of your interest you need to readers specific.
Think from the view of readers view, what (s)he will expect from your
article and whether it will be really useful for them. You may decide
your time of publication and target readers with the probable happenings
within reader’s surrounding at the tentative time of your publication.
For example, if your article about “Filing of Tax Returns” gets
published during the season of filing of returns and is useful in the present context, readers will surely be interested in your article.

Outline Preparation

Related to your title outline the details of your article i.e.
frame out your subtopics of your article. Think of some key words
related to the title to develop the outline of your article.

Rearrange your subtopics to maintain continuity flow and chronology. It is something like preparing a flowchart with the help of your subtopics.

Prepare a Draft Manuscript

Now
as you have developed an outline for your article, you need to develop
content of your subtopic. Spend good time in researching your article
before you write them. It is important to put updated and correct
information in the content with the help of available resources.
Internet can be one of the best options. Always rely upon the authentic information. The most important updates to be looked for article related to taxation are the statutory provision and related amendment if any. Do provide the source and date of the information, facts and data provided.

Select a Target Journal

You must submit your article to the journal
which covers maximum scope for your article. Search on internet or
visit libraries for the list of journal to be familiar with a wide
variety of journals. It will help you to select the best
target journal if you know what journals exist and the type of tax
articles that normally appear in each. Each Journal has its own style
and format of publishing an article. Refer authors instruction for
manuscript

Revision of your Manuscript

Read
it again and again to avoid any mistake. Check out spelling and grammar
to punctuate the sentences correctly. Write in active voice when it is
performed practically. Take help of any expert to review the article for
his proper suggestion and modification before submitting the articles.

Final Touch

Avoid being biased whiling writing any articles. Acknowledge the person, institute or preparation to modify your draft manuscript. Follow some sample articles if author instruction is not available.

organisation from whom you have taken any
constructive help in relation to article. After all your effort you
need to submit your article for publication. Include a covering letter
requesting editor of journal for publication. Your brief biography will
